Podcast #22 – Doing Debates

November 8th, 2007 by Dave · 3 Comments

mp3

In this podcast I talk about how I’m doing debates with my classes. I broke it into three main parts:

  • finding a group and choosing a topic
  • brainstorming pros and cons
  • presenting the debate

I also talk briefly about a photograph based activity that I’m planning to do where my students will take each other on virtual tours. At the end, I mention National Novel Writing Month.

Too much for me, I hadn’t got all, but most of them translated in my mind, if only I can do debates using english…thanks, teacher!

    Hi Shanie,

The podcasts are more for English teachers than for English students, so don’t worry if you don’t understand it all. Feel free to ask questions, though. I’d be glad to answer them!

    Take care,
    Dave
