In the course of reading a bit about the organization Games for Change, I found the Xbox 360 Games for Change Challenge. The competition challenges college students to come up with global warming themed videogames, the best of which will be awarded cash prizes. Winners are also eligible for possible inclusion as a download in the Xbox LIVE Arcade service, and an opportunity to become an intern at Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business.

I’m not 100% clear on when it actually begins, though, as the announcement was made in June and says that the competition will be launched in the summer.
