NaNoWriMo is coming!
October 11th, 2008 · No Comments
November is National Novel Writing Month.
Last year, I had a great time completing my 50,000 word opus, and I am looking forward to giving it another go this year. In a creative writing class, this could be a great way to get students to write a lot without worrying overly much about grammar.

Hamlet wonders if he should continue to exist. Or not.
Hamlet thinks Ophelia might be happier in a convent.
Ophelia removed “moody princes” from her interests.
Hamlet posted an event: A Play That’s Totally Fictional and In No […]

I gave friends, […]

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)
September 19th, 2007 · No Comments
Sharpen your pencils! November is National Novel Writing Month. The object is simple: write at least 50,000 words in 30 days. I have tried and failed twice before, but I’m optimistic that this will finally be my year.
As far as English teaching goes, if I were teaching a writing class, I might […]
