NPR has a neat short video on how the world population has grown to reach 7 billion. It would be pretty understandable, even at lower levels, and it would work with a range of topics: population, poverty and wealth, food, consumption, etc.
Thanks Krista

Hi, Dave,
Thanks for highlighting this important issue. Forgive the shameless self-promotion, but I wanted to mention that we just did a post recently with more resources for teaching about population (including the NatGeo vid), most of which would be useful for ESL teachers. Folks who are interested can find them here: http://humaneconnectionblog.blogspot.com/2011/11/7-resources-for-7-billion-teaching.html
Thanks 🙂
Peace,
Marsha
